Madeline Stuart, America’s 2nd Model Signed With Down Syndrome

Madeline Stuart will be walking the runway during the New York Fashion Week on September 13 of next month. The 18 yr old model was excited to be signed with FTL Moda and the FTL Moda brand stated that the feeling was mutual. FTL Moda is proud to sign an 18yr old model with down syndrome, making this opportunity a major accomplishment for Madeline. 

Madeline has also started a campaign with Ever Maya who designed a handbag collection in tribute to Madeline Stuart, donating 5% of the proceeds to the National Down Syndrome Society. Madeline has also signed a deal with Manifesta, an active wear clothing line.

Despite all of the health conditions that Ms. Stuart has had to face, she remains driven and focused to achieving her goals. Ms. Stuart is a really creative and positive person who doesn’t allow adversity to deter her away from accomplishing and conquering her dreams.

In the modeling industry, there is a lot of competition and a lot of criticism. Thousands of women, all over the world are denied for modeling jobs every single day. This young woman had every barrier to overcome and she is just one example to remind each and every one of us that we can accomplish whatever it is that we want to do, if we put our mind to it!
